MVDR is an adaptive beamforming algorithm based on maximum signal to interference noise ratio (SINR). MVDR algorithm can adaptively make the array output power minimum in the desired direction and the signal to interference noise ratio maximum. The resolution and noise suppression performance can be greatly improved when it is applied to spatial wavenumber spectrum estimation.
