This thesis implements spectrum sensing and localization tasks using a radiofrequency sensor network and analyzes the performance of this implementation throughsimulation. A sensor network based cooperative wideband spectrum sensing andlocalization scheme is proposed for the implementation of the tasks. In the proposedscheme, wavelet-based multi-resolution spectrum sensing and received signal strengthbasedlocalization methods, which were originally proposed for cognitive radioapplications, are adapted to radio frequency sensor networks. For cooperation of thenodes in the proposed scheme, a new three-bit hard combination technique is developed.A simulation model is created in MATLAB programming language to implement theproposed scheme and to analyze its simulation performance.
