LandCor is a set of Matlab routines that facilitate the use of the 6S radiative transfer code in the correction of a satellite scene that accounts for varying atmospheric conditions. The framework can be applied to all optical sensor imagery implemented in 6S. LandCor operation can be divided into four main stages. First, a set of land-atmosphere interaction cases is derived and submitted to 6S-compatible format. Subsequently, look-up-tables are prepared for each satellite scene by means of Unix-executed shell scripts calling 6S. The resolved cases are then interpolated onto the whole domain of signal strength and changing atmospheric composition. Lastly, pixel-by-pixel atmospheric correction is performed.
